STORYTELLING
RE.CO worked with Lowe Enterprises to launch the public arts programming at Ivy Station, a new mixed-use development with a small public park at its core at the former LA Metro Parking lot in Culver City, California. Working with prime consultant, Agora Partners, RE.CO led the hiring and training of a small team of programming staff and park attendants to bring small-scale, daily activities and signature events into the park. Working with dozens of programing partners, RE.CO helped Lowe execute a 2-year arts programming plan approved by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to spend a percentage of the project budget on free arts programming and amenities - a novel experiment for a program normally focused on physical art installation .
RE.CO also managed the selection and sourcing of site furniture and equipment during pandemic-era supply chain challenges and oversaw the design and fabrication of locally sourced, custom amenities.
In addition to daily programs, RE.CO also set up the monthly Ivy Station Arts market and negotiated the park’s first paid sponsorship deal with Ting! Internet.
